Tax Collector - Additional Hours


The Tax Collector will have additional hours on

Friday, December 14, 2018 from 3 PM to 5 PM

at the Meeting House.

Please note that this is the date property taxes are due.

December 2018 Town Clerk Hours



The Town Clerk will have regular hours - 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

on Tuesday, December 4th, 11th and 18th.

There will be special hours on Monday, December 31, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The Town Offices will be closed Tuesday, December 25, 2018 for Christmas and

Tuesday, January 1, 2019 for New Years

Board of Selectmen Meeting


The Sharon Board of Selectmen will meet on 

Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the Meeting House.

There will be no Selectmen's meeting on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 due to the elections.


Town Clerk Closed Tuesday, October 23, 2018



The Town Clerk has had to close this afternoon, due to the State of NH Motor Vehicle 

computers going down.  The Town Clerk will be open on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.

Supervisors of the Checklist



The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session October 30, 2018 from

5:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Sharon Meeting House.

Corrections and registrations for the Checklist will be accepted at this time.

This will be the last day to make corrections or to register until Election Day, 11/6/2018.

Audit Committee



The Audit Committee will be meeting on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 8:30 AM at the Meeting House to work on the 2017 audit.

Planning Board September 2018 Meeting

The Planning Board meeting for September 2018 has been changed to Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 6:30 pm at the Meeting House.  This change is due to the NH State Primary Election being held on September 11.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Planning Board of the Town of Sharon will be holding a Public Hearing for the purpose of reviewing the following items:

1)   Addition of Section C.8 of Article XXV: Accessory Dwelling Units relating to mandated requirements concerning Septic Systems.
2)   Addition of Section H of Article IV: Provisions Applicable to All Districts relating to protections of stone walls.
3)   Revised Regulations for the Permitting of Driveways.

Copies of these items are available on the town Website or upon request to the Town Administrator or Town Clerk.

The Public Hearing is scheduled for 6:00 PM, Tuesday June 12th, 2018 at the Sharon Meetinghouse.


Supervisors of the Checklist

NOTICE


The Supervisors will meet at the Sharon Meeting House on June 5, 2018 between 7-7:30 pm for the purpose of correcting the Checklist.  This will be the last day in which to change party affiliation before the September Primary.

Board of Selectmen Meeting Date Changed

The Board of Selectmen meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, 2018 has been changed to Tuesday, May 29, 2018 so that the Board will have a quorum.

Sharon Earth Day Road Clean-up

The Sharon Earth Road Clean-up will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018.  Blue bags, coffee and cookies, and a sign-up sheet will be available at the Meeting House starting at 9:00 AM.

Dog Licenses

A reminder to all dog owners.

Dogs are required to be licensed by April 30 each year.  The Town Clerk will be available for the next three weeks during her regular office hours as a "last chance" to license your dogs.  After that letters will be sent out.

Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting April 30, 2018

The Sharon ZBA will meet at 5:30 pm on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Sharon Meeting House to consider a Request for Rehearing submitted by Dustin Krook.

Through his Attorney, Mr. Krook hasa appealed the decision by the Sharon Selectmen to deny a driveway permit for a parcel on Spring Hill Road (Map/Lot 4-25).  The ZBA upheld the decision  at a hearing held on March 8, 2018.  Mr. Krook has now requested a rehearing on the matter.

Please note that this will be an administrative meeting of the Sharon ZBA, not a formal hearing.  While the public is more than welcome to attend, the Board will not be taking comments or testimony at the meeting.

Trustees of the Trust Funds

The Sharon Trustees of Trust Funds will hold their regularly scheduled meeting at the Meeting House on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.  However the meeting will begin at 5:30 pm rather than the scheduled time of 6:30 pm.

The eligible Board of Selectmen members will be meeting on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Sharon Meeting House from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, before the regular meeting to supervise the review of building and driveway permits records at the request of a member of the public.

Voter Registration Requirements

Applicants for voter registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicle should bring that proof when they come to register.  Qualified applicants who do not possess proof or who do not bring proof with them may register if they sign an affidavit attestig to their qualifications for identity, age, and citizenship.

More than 30 days before an election, applicants without proof of domicile will be asked to retrieve proof and return to register.  Within 30 days of an election and on election day, applicants without proof of domicile with them may register to vote if they sign an affidavit attesting to their domicile and either agreeing to bring or send in proof or attesting that they are not aware of possessing proof of domicile.

The annual elections of Town Officers will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 11 am to 7 pm.

Town meeting will begin onTuesday, March 13, 2018 at 8 pm.

Absentee ballots are available from the Town Clerk.  The Town Clerk will be available on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 3 pm to 5 pm to accept absentee ballots.

To the inhabitants of the Town of Sharon, New Hampshire, in the County of Hillsborough, qualified to
vote in Town affairs:


You are hereby notified to meet in the Sharon Meeting House in said Town on Tuesday,
March 13, 2018 at 11:00 in the forenoon to act on Articles 1 and 2. The polls will be closed at 7:00 P.M.
The business portion of the meeting to act on Articles 3-11 will start at 8:00 P.M. on the same date at
the Sharon Meeting House.


ARTICLE 1.  To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.


ARTICLE 2.   To act on the proposed amendments to Articles IV: Provisions Applicable to All Districts
and XXV: Accessory Dwelling Units of the Sharon Zoning and Building Ordinance.


ARTICLE 3.  To see if the Town will vote to set the following amounts which shall be paid to the

provisions of RSA 32:3,VI(c). The selectmen recommend this article.

ARTICLE 8.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,000 to be placed in the
Welfare Services Non-Capital Reserve Fund, Account 4914.1 previously established by vote of the
March 8, 2016 Town Meeting, or take any action relative thereto.  This article is designated as a
special warrant article under the provisions of RSA 32:3,VI(c). The selectmen recommend this article.


ARTICLE 9.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $35,000 to be placed in
the Town Highway Repairs Fund, Account 4915.3 previously established, or take any action relative
thereto. This article is designated as a special warrant article under the provisions of RSA 32:3,VI(c).  
The selectmen recommend this article.


ARTICLE 10.  To see if the Town will vote to discontinue the entire length of Swamp Road as an open
highway subject to gates and bars pursuant to RSA 231:45.


ARTICLE 11.   To transact any other business which legally shall come before this meeting.
