The Sharon Selectmen will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 9:30 AM. The meeting will be held at the office of the Peterborough Town Administrator.
The Selectmen will be meeting with the Peterborough Town Administrator and the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Peterborough Town Library to discuss ongoing use of the Peterborough Library by Sharon residents.
Mrs. Paris will not attend this meeting due to a potential conflict of interest.

The Selectmen will report the results of the discussions to Sharon residents after the meeting.

Proposed Amendments to Zoning Ordinances
Two amendments to the Sharon Zoning Ordinances will be considered by the Sharon Planning Board at the Public Hearing scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, 2013.

Amendment #1
Any Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
constructed after March 1978 and in existence as of March 9, 2010 is an allowed
use provided that the owner(s) of the ADU submit an application to the Board of
Selectmen for a Permit to Maintain an Accessory Dwelling Unit, which will be
granted provided that:
(1) the owner(s) provide sufficient proof of
the existence of the ADU as of March 9, 2010;
(2)
the septic system serving the ADU is of sufficient size under applicable State
regulations to accommodate both the ADU and the
primary residence on the property;
(3) the ADU has access and egress that
complies with applicable fire and safety codes; and
(4)
the ADU has fire, smoke, carbon monoxide detectors as required by State law.
Any ADU’s created since March 2010 is not
an allowed use.

Highland Conservation District
Section F. - Timber Harvesting
All timber harvesting on
steep slopes shall be consistent with Best Management Practices and
shall be supervised by a forester licensed with the State of New Hampshire.

Public Hearing
The Sharon Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. The hearing will begin at 7:00 PM and will be held at the Sharon Meeting House, 432 Route 123.
The Board will consider two proposed changes to the Sharon Zoning Ordinances, which will be submitted to the voters at Town Meeting in March 2014. The proposed changes are:
Amendments to the Highland Conservation District, Article XXIII, Section F, dealing with Timber Harvesting; and
A proposed article dealing with the regulation of Accessory Dwelling Units.
The Board will consider two proposed changes to the Sharon Zoning Ordinances, which will be submitted to the voters at Town Meeting in March 2014. The proposed changes are:
