Annual Tree Lighting

The annual community tree lighting will be held on December 4th at 5 pm in Willard Bass Park.  All are invited to sing carols with members of the Temple Band, light the tree, and greet the season.  Come join neighbors and friends and bring a treat to share as we warm up at Three Maples after we light the tree.

Zoning Board of Adjustment

Notice of Hearing

The Sharon Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet on Tuesday, November 29, 7:00 PM at the Sharon Meeting House to consider a Request for Rehearing submitted by San-Ken Homes, Inc.

The applicant has asked the Board to re-hear the determination that the Gridley River in the vicinity of the Applicant's property is a "navigable river," and that a 75-foot vegetated buffer from wetlands must be preserved from earth excavations incident to construction.

Sharen Resident/Property Owner Survey

The Sharon Planning Board is gathering data to be used in the development of a new Master Plan for the town.

Much information will be drawn from the Open Space report discussed at the town picnic and again at a recent joint public meeting of the Planning Board and the Conservation Commission.  However, in addition to data and comments from the Open Space Report, it will be important to have input from as many residents and property owners as possible. To that end, the Planning Board has developed a survey to aid in gathering that data.  If you would, please take a few minutes to complete the survey.

You can take the survey from any computer that has internet access (home, work, library, etc.).  If you know of someone who does not have internet access of any sort and would prefer a hard copy, have them contact Matt Craig at 924-3858 and he will provide a copy of the survey.

A few additional notes:
  • The survey is for Sharon residents and property owners only.
  • Space is provided for narrative comments on all of the questions.  Please feel free to use that space to expand on your answers.
  • Please take the survey only once; you cannot return to it to change your answers, so please answer fully when you take it.
  • We will keep the survey open until Dec 31, 2011.
